Awkwafina the American singer and actress began by releasing witty raps which addressed sexuality and racial identification. After which she moved into Hollywood, she released the rap track series. Her name is Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens her first musical experience came with the trumpet. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop training began as she grew up. In college, she studied Women's Studies and Journalism. It was also during this time that she spent an hour studying Mandarin in Beijing. She didn't start focusing on music until after she graduated. Following her viral success via the Internet Her track My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually became a part of the album she released, Yellow Ranger. The album also included songs that were viral such as body positive Queef or her wink-inducing hometown tour in NYC Bitche$. This song was also featured in Awkwafina's NYC tour guide that was released in 2015. She decided to pursue acting careers after completing her first two projects, as an author and musician. Alongside early series such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors and Storks. In 2018, she scored many major roles like Dude Ocean's 8 or Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
